In the case of 128×64, the screen is made up of 128×64 = 8192 pixels. Since this is a monochrome picture, 1 bit of memory is required to store the pixel’s value. Each pixel can be either 1 or 0. Here is a link to a graphical LCD board from Vishay. Here is the information from the datasheet.
