The DIY laundry detergent trend refuses to die, so I finally leaned into it, here's my science backed recipe: 1) For the soap / surfactant I found powdered SLS & SCS 2) Washing soda (sodium carbonate) and Borax (sodium borate) as our builders / water softeners 3) Sodium percarbonate as our bleach 4) Dirty Lab's enzyme mix to help break down tough stains I'm surprised at how well it cleans, however I'm guessing the tradeoff is it's quite harsh on textiles. The upfront cost looks scary at about $7
